Renewal is a weekend retreat designed for EFCA youth workers and their spouses to connect with God and with one another. This is a retreat, not a training conference, which is reflected by the schedule and the speaker.

Schedule

  • The gathering: One session each day (Friday PM, Saturday AM, Sunday AM) consisting of prayer, worship and a message from our speaker, Chris Brown.
  • Free time: Your afternoons are free to lie by the pool, sight-see, have lunch with new friends, or simply rest and reflect.
  • Supper club: Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant with a small group of youth workers and their spouses (cost included).
  • District dinner: Gather for dinner with other youth workers and their spouses from your district (cost included).

Speaker

Chris Brown has served as a senior pastor and teaching pastor at North Coast Church (EFCA) in Vista, California, since 2004. Prior to that, he was the campus pastor at Azusa Pacific University, and then a youth pastor in the Los Angeles area. As a gifted storyteller and Bible teacher, Chris loves to use his sense of humor and motivational style to help people truly experience all the grace and mercy that they have been given to fall more in love with Jesus. His life work and ambition are to use his unique gifts and personality to equip people to follow Jesus while building healthy and highly productive teams that serve the local church. Chris lives in Oceanside, California, with his wife Amy and their three children, and tries to fish as much as his schedule will allow.

  • Registration opens: April 1, 2025

  • Payment is due at the time of registration.
