EFCA Disability and Special Needs Webinar

The EFCA Disability and Special Needs Ministry is hosting a webinar on May 22 at 1 p.m. central time. Dr. John Kilner will speak on the topic “What the 'Image of God' Is (and Is Not): A Theologian/Parent Shares About Why This Matters to All of Us.” He will unpack how the way we often think about the image of God can lead to harm to people with disabilities, and will help pave a clear and biblical path to see and interpret the world and people around us differently.”

At the 2025 EFCA Theology Conference, Dr. John Kilner spoke on “Theological Anthropology, Creaturely Limitations and Disability." Dr. Kilner is the former Franklin Forman chair of ethics, professor of bioethics and contemporary culture, and the director of bioethics degree programs. From the 1994 founding of The Center for Bioethics & Human Dignity until 2005, Dr. Kilner served as the Center’s president and CEO. He presently serves as an emeritus fellow in the academy of fellows of The Center for Bioethics & Human Dignity.
