The Doctrine of God: The Ground of Being and Truth and the Goal of Theology and Life

This year, the EFCA Theology Conference will focus on the ground of truth (principium essendi) and the Christian faith, the foundation that anchors us in the midst of the blowing cultural headwinds.

We will focus on the doctrine of God, grounding our focus in Article 1 of our EFCA Statement of Faith, God: “We believe in one God, Creator of all things, holy, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in a loving unity of three equally divine Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Having limitless knowledge and sovereign power, God has graciously purposed from eternity to redeem a people for Himself and to make all things new for His own glory.”

All of our plenary messages will arise from what we confess and profess in this Article. D. A. Carson, Gavin Ortlund and Fred Sanders will be joining us.

The pre-conference, beginning on Wednesday, February 8 at 9 a.m., will be around the theme A Theology of the Body and Human Sexuality: God’s Divine Design and “Did God Actually Say?”.
